TerraVox, a leader in geophysical exploration, is seeking an experienced Mathematician-Developer to support and develop AI-based programs used in the GEMS methodology. Responsibilities:

  • Design, develop, and refine AI-based software programs utilized in the GEMS methodology for geophysical exploration.
  • Apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of these AI models.
  • Develop new algorithms and optimize existing ones for geophysical data analysis and modeling.
  • Implement numerical methods and algorithmic models to solve complex problems related to geophysical exploration.
  • Implement and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models using tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and geophysicists to integrate machine learning solutions into geophysical research workflows.
  • Develop and implement methods for processing and analyzing big data sets, ensuring efficient data handling and storage.
  • Optimize algorithms for handling and analyzing large-scale geophysical data, improving speed and computational efficiency.

Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science;
  • Strong background in statistics, numerical methods, and algorithmic modeling;
  • Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib);
  • Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras;
  • Understanding of big data processing and analysis principles;
  • Experience in geophysical research and modeling is a plus.
