TerraVox, a leader in geophysical exploration, is seeking an experienced Mathematician-Developer to support and develop AI-based programs used in the GEMS methodology. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and refine AI-based software programs utilized in the GEMS methodology for geophysical exploration.
- Apply advanced mathematical and statistical techniques to improve the accuracy and efficiency of these AI models.
- Develop new algorithms and optimize existing ones for geophysical data analysis and modeling.
- Implement numerical methods and algorithmic models to solve complex problems related to geophysical exploration.
- Implement and fine-tune machine learning and deep learning models using tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras.
- Collaborate with data scientists and geophysicists to integrate machine learning solutions into geophysical research workflows.
- Develop and implement methods for processing and analyzing big data sets, ensuring efficient data handling and storage.
- Optimize algorithms for handling and analyzing large-scale geophysical data, improving speed and computational efficiency.
Qualifications:
- Advanced degree in Mathematics, Physics, or Computer Science;
- Strong background in statistics, numerical methods, and algorithmic modeling;
- Proficiency in Python and scientific computing libraries (NumPy, SciPy, Matplotlib);
- Knowledge of machine learning and deep learning tools such as TensorFlow, PyTorch, or Keras;
- Understanding of big data processing and analysis principles;
- Experience in geophysical research and modeling is a plus.
