Since 2003 Terravox has continuously worked on developing and improving its proprietary microseismic ambient noise sounding technology.
The goal of applying Terravox technology to mineral exploration is to achieve significant cost savings during the exploration drilling phase, both in new areas and in areas where further exploration is required.

An analog of the microseismic to the microseismic field is the random wave field on the surface of the water. Stones do not come to the surface, but they introduce distortions into the random field, by which we can judge the presence and position of stones. Low-frequency microseisms consist mainly of Rayleigh fundamental modes and Love waves. They propagate as wave packets with different frequency filling in different directions and can be observed at considerable distances from their sources. The sources of microseisms with periods of 3 - 20 s (and more) are large atmospheric vortexes (cyclones, anticyclones) passing over water areas.

Following the successful signing of a contract with Debswana Diamond Mining Company Ltd, Terravox is proud to announce the opening of our new office in Jwaneng, Botswana. In 2023, Terravox proudly expanded its global footprint by opening a new office in Tanzania.
